Task


From server version 51v011, you as an administrator can adapt the type of support to your needs. There are now 3 setting options available:

  • Never Allow Support

    • Support does not have the ability to access settings on your server or information about your devices.

  • Allow Support On Deman[default setting]

    • You have the option to grant Microtronics Support access for a limited time. They enable support to view the status of the devices and the server. In the case of support, activate access under the “Service” tab with the “Allow support session” button.

  • Always Allow Support

    • If you provide reasons (e.g. in relation to a support ticket you have created), Microtronics Support can access your server and view the status of the devices.

If you have set “Support on request” or “Always allow support”, you can view the accesses in the “Service” tab under “Support History”.

Setting on the server


The setting must be made by a user with User Level 7 (Server - Admin). To do this, proceed as follows:

The settings can be found in the “Basic Settings” section in the server configuration.

Finally save the settings.

 

Allow support access [Allow Support On Demand]


Under the “Service” tab, a support connection can be enabled for a limited time by clicking on the “Allow Support Session” button.
